Every item, from narwhal tusks to ostrich eggs and everything in between, is representative of some aspect of the natural world. When co-owner Creel was 15 years old, he was sent by his parents to Kenya for a few months and came back with a fascination for the indigenous, items and objects unique to cultures around the world. To the Kenyan locals, his Levi blue jeans were invaluable, but to Creel, their woven baskets were priceless. He returned to New York one pair of jeans poorer but with a life-long passion. He and Gow have created an anthropologist’s dream store. Anyone with a taste for the one-of-a-kind can find something to appreciate at Creel and Gow.
